In the heart of the
Old Town of Chania
SCROLL DOWN

Casa Delfino promises a tranquil sanctuary in the heart of the Old Town of Chania!

The alluring Old Town of Chania is a fascinating place, no matter which season you might choose to visit. Watching the sun rise and set over the beautiful Venetian Harbor can be as different in summer as it is in winter, almost like being in a different place on every visit.

After four centuries of Venetian rule and long sieges, a wide variety of architectural styles remain, reflecting the strong cultural influence of the Venetian and Ottoman civilizations without losing its distinctive characteristics.

From the crumbling ruins to the colorful painted alleyways; everywhere you explore, you’ll discover a melting pot of cultures.

The Venetian Harbor is the city’s main sea promenade. Walking past old buildings that have countless stories to recount, and through the colorful cafes, shops and restaurants, it feels like you have entered a film set of an all-time classic period piece movie.

Casa Delfino is located in the heart of the Old Town.

Why Crete
It simply has it all!

Crete has a warm climate, cultural heritage, appealing landscapes and sincere hospitality. Crete is a destination that appeals to everyone; people of all ages, families with children, honeymooners, hikers, history buffs, foodlovers! It is all about the authenticity, the simplicity and the amazing food that the island has to offer! Landscape peaceful and calm, yet wild. Crete is the largest island in Greece. Crete has a rich history and culture that dates back thousands of years. Crete is a tapestry of splendid beaches, ancient treasures and landscapes, weaving in vibrant cities and dreamy villages, where locals share their traditions, wonderful cuisine and generous spirit.

Crete has beautiful beaches, visiting the west coast, you feel as if you are in the Caribbean, whereas the south coast is the genuine beauty of Crete with dark blue waters and pebbled beaches. If going to the beach is not your thing, you could visit monasteries, archaeological sites, and mountain villages. Crete has beautiful gorges! Samaria Gorge, for avid hikers, is the longest gorge in Europe or Imbros Gorge, shorter but still impressive!
Crete is not just a destination for its breathtaking landscapes and historical sites but also a haven for food enthusiasts. Cretan olive oil is more than just an ingredient; it’s the cornerstone of Cretan cuisine, renowned for its exceptional quality. The emphasis on seasonal produce, aromatic herbs, and the island’s liquid gold – olive oil – defines the essence of Cretan dishes and each bite tells a story of tradition, passed down through generations, creating a culinary tapestry that reflects the island’s heritage. The island was once home to the Minoan civilization, one of the earliest civilizations in Europe. If food fills the soul, music comes from the heart in Crete. You hear it in the three-stringed Cretan lyra that sets the mood of dances in the island’s many feasts and festivals and in the heart-rending sonnets known as mantinades, conveying messages of love and sorrow, that resonate in mountain villages.

Cretan hospitality – you aren’t going to find anything like it anywhere else. The Cretan people are electric. Loud, voracious, personable – like you’ve known them all your life. They preserve their traditions – their symbols, their enthusiasm for their culture, and their patriotism for their island. Their weddings and baptisms are full of life, often lasting for days, as do the vibrant, lively festivals.
