Hike the Samaria Gorge

Samaria Gorge (16 km) is one of the longest and most impressive gorges in Europe. This six-hour trek takes you through a breathtaking landscape of extraordinary diversity, from the peaks of the White Mountains down to the shores of the Libyan Sea. The trail ends at Agia Roumeli, a quaint fishing village on Crete’s southern coast, accessible only by boat. A refreshing dip in the sea, followed by lunch at a waterfront taverna, is the ultimate tonic after this exhilarating trek.
